WORKING: 5 Months of "5% for Good"

WORKING: 5 Months of "5% for Good"

Five months ago, we opened the doors to Doing Good Projects with a simple belief: that every piece of work we do for a client should be promised towards ‘doing good’. We created the “5% for Good” initiative - and today, for the first time, we want to open the books a little and show you what the simple idea has achieved in practice.

This isn't a celebration post, or at least, not only that. It's a thank you. It's an update. And yes, it's a small teaser for something we've been quietly producing behind the scenes.

What Is 5% for Good?

When we built the Doing Good Projects model, we wanted to make sure that our client work and our non-profit mission fed into each other.

So, we made a commitment: 5% of our revenue (and donations) is allocated toward producing a non-profit film. Not into a reserve. Not into overhead. Into production - into the actual making of a story that would otherwise never get told.

It's a small number on paper. But over time, with enough good work, great clients, and kind donors, it adds up to something real.

Five Months In: The Numbers

We're not a company that shouts about revenue - that's not really our style. But we do believe in transparency around the things that matter. And right now, what matters most is showing you that this initiative is real, and that it's working.

From Jan to May 2026, our “5% for good” initiative has allocated R10,000 towards producing non-profit projects. With that, we are in process of producing a good story that deserved a light to be shone on it, but before we tell you about the film, we’d like to thank our clients who trust us in continuously delivering good media.

Our regular clients include, but are not limited to: Sealand, Aucor Property and MoonSport – thank you for your continued support and steady flow of good projects that we love being creatively involved in.

Every project we completed didn't just help them.
It moved the needle on something bigger.

The Story We're Telling

We can't say too much yet - and honestly, part of us doesn't want to.
Some stories deserve to arrive in full.

What we can tell you is this: our “5% for Good” initiative is currently helping to fund a film about a young man from the Cape Flats. He's an undiscovered musician, as so many extraordinary talents are, from the world that would love him if it only knew he existed. His story is full. His heart is strong. And when you hear him, you'll understand immediately why we said yes.

He's been given an incredible opportunity to tour China with a local jazz band until August 2026. When he comes home, we'll be ready to release the film, and tell his story as it was meant to be known.

Watch this space.

Want Your Work to Mean More?

Here's something we’ve proven: good media and a good cause are not in competition. When you work with Doing Good Projects, you get quality creative media for your brand, and 5% of what you invest goes toward a non-profit film that gives a voice to someone who needs one.

It costs you nothing extra.
It changes everything for someone who deserves it.

If that sounds like the kind of working relationship you'd like to be part of, we'd love to hear from you. We've put together a short client intake form to help us get to know you and what you're looking to create. The more we understand your world and exciting visions, the better we can serve it.

Fill out our client intake form and let's start a conversation.
It takes less than 5 minutes - and might kick start something good.

Five Months Down. More Good to Gift.

We're proud of what these first five months have been. Not because of any number, but because of what those numbers represent - good work, good projects, strong relationships, and a short film on the way for a young man whose story deserves to be heard.

Thank you for being part of our story - whether you've been a client, a follower, or simply someone who believes, like we do, that good work and good values belong together.

Thank you.
